Winter Wedding in Washington | Becca + Patrick

Okay this is a big one, are you ready? Becca and Patrick’s winter wedding in Washington was one for the books! I am still pinching myself. It was a 3-day celebration in Leavenworth Washington, and it really was something out of a storybook.

If you’re looking for a winter wedding that is full of adventure, snowy mountains, a weekend full of good food, and partying then you are about to be pinning this wedding on your Pinterest boards!

Becca and Patrick have known each other for quite some time. They met online and then just instantly connected. Becca is a very sought out holistic dentist in Edmonds Washington and Patrick is an engineer. Remember the gorgeous Diablo Lake Engagement? If you haven’t seen it prepare yourself because the magic between these two is undeniable! They really are a go-getter kind of couple, and they are always excelling in everything they do.

Becca and Patrick are an awesome couple so their wedding in the snowy Washington mountains was an example of just that.

On Thursday they had worlds collide welcome dinner and drinks. Becca prepared all the food for it. She had the help of friends and family put it all together and serve it. And let me tell you the food was PHENOMENAL! Not only is she an amazing dentist but she’s an amazing chef. These meals she put together were some of the best I’ve ever had. Really just so amazing. All the meals were also dairy-free, gluten-free, and locally sourced organic. It was just incredible all the love and attention to detail she put into them for her loved ones.

The wedding weekend consisted of 3 lodges in Leavenworth, Washington. There was a lazy bear property, a far and away property, and the Omnia mountain lodge where we all stayed.

The lazy bear property was right on the lake. It was just gorgeous. Then the property where the ceremony was on Saturday the far and away property was right on a river. There were gorgeous views all around. Then the Omnia mountain lodge was the main dinner and host space. It had a ton of rooms and that’s where we all stayed and had dinner every night. This lodge is just insane something out of a movie.

They had a huge team of vendors. They had a wonderful planner coordinator team, 3 different planners, so many rental companies, a beauty company, an incredible videographer, a florist, and me. Everything was to the max, and it was breathtaking!

On Friday everybody met up early and went and rode snowmobiles. It was beautiful riding the snowmobiles through the magical snow-filled forest. It was just amazing. Afterward, we had another dinner once again prepared by the beautiful bride Becca. There were specialty cocktails every night and tons of speeches. I mean some of the most incredible speeches I’ve ever heard were given that night.

And then Saturday, Wedding Day was filled with lots of getting ready in the morning. The girls got ready at the lazy bear lodge and the guys got ready at the Omnia mountain lodge. There were so many moving parts that day. Becca looked stunning and her dress was gorgeous! Once they finished getting ready Becca and Patrick had their first look.

The first look took place on a little peer overlooking Lake Wenatchee. The little dock leading out to the lake was stunning. The way the lightning was hitting everything was freaking gorgeous. These winter wedding portraits are some of my favorite portraits.

After we were supposed to head to another spot on the lake, but we were running behind. So, we pulled over on the side of the road because I saw this beautiful light shining from the mountains. So, we got out and they just danced around together in the middle of the road. We got some epic portraits of Becca and Patrick right before the ceremony. These moments that aren’t planned are so special because they both just got to enjoy the day together at the moment taking it all in.

The ring bearer and flower girl were Patrick’s kiddos. They got to be a part of this special day and it was so sweet to watch. Becca’s father was very adamant about carrying the ax while walking her down the aisle to give to Patrick as part of handing his daughter off. As well as starting a fire to warm everyone up and signal a beautiful ceremony. During the ceremony, they ready their beautiful vows to each other. Then Becca read vows to the children, and it brought everyone to tears.

After the wedding ceremony, everyone had a special hot chocolate. It was a recipe that Becca and Patrick are obsessed with. There was whiskey as well as smores. It was just super fun with everyone huddled around the fire and taking in the beautiful winter views.

I thought I would be freezing but it really wasn’t that cold. We took some more portraits and family portraits after and popped champagne as well as lit sparklers. It was such a beautiful celebration. To end the night everyone went back to the Omnia mountain lodge for a 6-course catered dinner. Although Becca loved being involved in every part of the dinners because of her love of cooking she got to be spoiled with even more delicious food and relax.

It was a beautiful winter wedding in Leavenworth filled with snow, snowmobiling, winter lodges, lots of amazing speeches from a good family, and great friends. It was a beautiful celebration that I will never forget!
